ARCA SIM RACING 08 - PURCHASING INSTRUCTIONS

ARCA Sim Racing 08 is currently available only through new digital purchasing system known as the ARCA DOWNLOAD CLIENT, which can be downloaded here. To purchase simply download and install the client and once installed you can purchase directly through the client and begin downloading the core ASR08 software immediately, as well as any patches available. Please follow the instructions below.

 

Users who purchased copies before December 26th can also recieve a free upgrade with the proper order verification.  Please download the proper client for your operating system and use the email you used when purchasing to request a token. If your email has changed please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   with the original purchasers order reciept and email information so we can transfer the license to you. Absolutely no licenses will be transferred for software sold used after December 26th, 2008.

 


 

NEW 32-Bit USERS - 64-Bit may work but is not supported as it is not a gaming OS.

1. Download and install the client HERE

2. Purchase using the register tab or NEW USER from front page of client. Once purchased it will open it up for download and install. Once completed you are ready to go.

2. Run the Download/Leverage Client and click Register or UPGRADE MY DVD PURCHASE.

3. Enter email used when purchasing and it will email you a token.

4. Click register...then UPGRADE FROM DVD You will be sent a key....add the key and you will be validated.

5. LAUNCH ARCA and create a new user profile...same name is fine. **As new exe's have been made...please re-create your player so that the exe can build whats new.

COPYING YOUR CHASSIS SETUPS TO YOUR NEW INSTALL - Make sure you have created a new player profile in new build which is step six of your setup above.

 

1. Copy the SETTINGS folder from your old build which is located here (C:Program Files/ARCA Remax/UserData/YOURNAME folder). Your location may be different if you changed the default install path.

2. Paste the entire SETTINGS folder into your new (C:Program Files/ARCA 08/UserData/YOURNAME folder). This will bring over your setups.

 


 

TROUBLESHOOTING FAQ'S

 

Windows XP/Vista 64BIT users may encounter an error on installation of the Download Client or on first run of it. Follow the steps below to see if it fixes your issue.

 

1. Open the C: Program Files/ARCA Download Client folder

2. Double Click and run the vcredist_x86.exe and this will manually install the .net framework.

3. Try relaunching the ARCA Download Client to see if this fixes your issue. If it doesnt read the .NET INSTALLATION FAILURE below. That should take care of it.

 

.NET INSTALLATION ERRORS

For users that are experiencing a issue on install of the .NET FRAMEWORK and the above fix did not help. Read below on how to properly fix the issue. Most .NET install issues are due to firewalls, admin settings and or anti-virus on your system.

 

1. Download the correction tool from Microsoft for the users operating system (x86 is 32-bit; x64 is 64-bit), from HERE.

2. If the above tool does not fix the problem, the user should then be able to uninstall the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 using ADD/REMOVE Programs in your control panel.  Reinstall it afterward and you should be fine.

EMAIL NOT WORKING FOR VERIFICATION

The main thing is to know that once the old email is changed...it can no longer be used to validate a purchase.
